Vice Chancellor Stresses for Inculcation of Social Intelligence
The Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin while accompanying Registrar Muhammad Akram Bhatti, Director Planning & Development Prof. Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah and Additional Registrar Media and Publications, Sheikh Abdul Rashid has moved around the Hafiz Hayat Campus. They visited different academic blocks and interacted with the students. Vice Chancellor questioned many students about the academic activities and security steps taken by the varsity administration. Students while responding the Vice Chancellor shared their academic affairs and showed satisfaction over the academic activity since the inception of the new semester. Students, at large appreciated measures regarding the security. They assured cooperation to face any hardship while managing the security at the campus. The Vice Chancellor while talking with the students appreciated their courage facing present difficult time. He said that this odd situation is likely to be over soon. Talking on academic and social environment of the academic institutions of the country, Vice Chancellor remarked that the education is not merely an exchange of information but exploring knowledge. He stressed that creativity is the integral part of the education process. Vice Chancellor while talking to the students said that the “social intelligence” is very significant in the students’ life. Social intelligence helps students becoming a normal social being. While referring the current situation of the academic environment, Vice Chancellor said that the social intelligence may help becoming a student more balanced person along with the scientific and technical personality. The Vice Chancellor also highlighted the significance of social research. He said that the Social Sciences Research Centre at the UOG is quite potent forum for conducting the social research on socio-cultural and politico-economic aspects of the Pakistani society
